The Irish duo Davin Coady & Geoff Foley known as Between Ourselves are debuting on Urge To Dance with their There You Are EP. Known for their deep, emotional and yet sometimes dark sound, Between Ourselves deliver a perfect January-themed EP, accompanied by two impressive remixes coming from Francesco Chiocci & Cailum Staats.

The leading track There You Are is a deep and warm affair, offering a tender and dreamy baseline with forward-looking synths delivering a cautious optimism for the year to come. Dubby Lover is where the Waterford-based duo digs into the gloomy and mesmerising vibes of the atmospheric and emotional synths as if they are reminiscing about the past year while looking towards the uncertain future from the grey and cold winter Irish coast. The third track, The Rain, is a deep and slightly more optimistic delivery that blends a sharper kick with tender bassline and gentle arpeggio bringing back the cautious optimism from the EP's opening track.

On remix duties, Francesco Chiocci & Cailum Staats deliver their impressive interpretations of Dubby Lover & There You Are. The MoBlack household name and Innervisions / Exit Strategy darling Francesco Chiocci surprises with his unorthodox, percussions-rich and mesmerisingly dubby approach to Dubby Lover. He captures the emotional load of the original track and gently amplifies the tension and intimate touch of the track. Last, but not least, the Irish talent Cailum Staats adds a more housey and early-club-night touches with his remix of There You Are. Punchier, brighter and definitely catchy, it closes the EP on an optimistic mode reminding us that the best is always yet to come.
